There is a point where verbs and adjectives combine: participles. This is when we want to assign a verbal quality to a noun: the running deer, the stopped car, the ball about to fly. These are also the three tense of participles and how we translate them. Notice, the last example is how we translate, the future tense -- not 'will or shall.' There are only three tenses of participles also as reflected in our examples above. Here is a video on just the perfect passive participle; we hold the other tenses for later.
Participles are important parts of speech in Latin. Please look at the above video also for overall content of participles.
