This lesson builds on your knowledge of the imperfect and pluperfect subjunctives and serves to review passive voice verbs. You may recall that passive voice verbs were the verbs where the action was directed to the verb speaker rather than the speaker doing the action: 'I am praised' instead of 'I praise.' The verbal direction changes.

The passive forms that we learned before apply with the exact same logic for subjunctives. Look on pages 168 and 169 for examples of this. It is wonderfully logical that parly explains why people who study science, for instance, like Latin. See, for example: Rosalind Franklyn, who helped discover the DNA molecule, and read the Wiki article on what she excelled in -- Latin.
